Can chlamydia lay dormant in body after treatment?

Hallo
i have a query, i would like to know from the learned members about chlamydia. Can sti like chlamydia remain in dormant form inside human body after a treatment of antibiotics and can it reoccur by its own after a gap of 6 mnths without acquiring through sex. Plz guide

Dormant is not really the correct word to use, just because no symptoms occur does not mean it is dormant, it's still active.

If it is medicated properly then it should be gone. A small percentage of people might need a stronger or more prolonged does of medication to treat chlamydia.
