Can you get crabs with no sexual contact?

Ive been having a intense itching sensation on my genital area and anus for days now. I have not had sex in 6 months so the idea that I would have crabs was not even a thought I entertained. Yet I honestly don't know what another diagnosis would be. I don't see any crabs when inspecting my pubic hair. Or the eggs that I have seen online. Ive felt the itch for three days now and online it told me the symptoms could be five days latter. I would think if I had them they would be visible. Yet I honestly can't think of another cause.

*I have also not worn anyones clothing or been sleeping in another bed. I thought the whole toilet seat thing was a myth....

You can get crabs without sexual contact. That being said you would be able to see or find them.
