Chlamydia Symptoms and How long does it take for Azithromycin to cure Chlamydia?

I had symptoms consistent with those of Chlamydia for a little over a week now. I went to a clinic last Friday for urine test and expect the results in a week (I believe). I was prescribed an antibiotic and took 4 tablets of Azithromycin (4x250mg) Friday afternoon.

I'm coming into day 3 of my Azithromycin treatment. The painful urination has decreased significantly but still have a sting during and after. The discharge is about 99 or 100% gone. What is interesting is that I didn't notice much discharge till after I started taking the antibiotic then it started strong and has weakened off within the last day. The redness in the tip of the penis is still there. Erections feel painful sometimes.

I was wondering if anyone else had experienced these same symptoms with chlamydia. Specially the pain when having an erection. Also curious about what others have experienced in terms of timeline for a cure.

I'm hoping its its not Gonorrhea since the symptoms are so similar.

Any feedback or personal experiences would be appreciated.

I can't add anything about having had the same symptoms, but by day 3, you should be noticing a marked improvement in symptoms, and in most of it, you are.

It can take a week or so, give or take, to totally get rid of the symptoms.
