If you have contracted Chlamydia, have gone through a stage of symptoms, but eventually feel fine with no outward symptoms, how long are you still a carrier of the disease? For life unless treated? I know long term effects of infection can include stirility but I was wondering how long you can pass on Chlamydia to a partner? Does the body "knock it out" eventually?
Both doxy and zithromax are effective against chlamydia. A one time 1000mg of zithromax or a 7 day course of doxy is usually given to clear chlamydia. You had a 10 day course of doxy. If you had chlamydia, then you no longer have it.
Were you ever diagnosed with Chlamydia? If so, what test did the doctor use?
