Sorry, what you describe is not herpes. I will not debate other sorces withyou. EWH
Every where I've read, including WebMD, says that herpes starts as blisters, they pop, and then crust over and heal.
Herpes lesions rarely bleed spontaneously. As I said before, your illness really does not sound at all like herpes. Furthermore, herpes sores do not "crust over". My advice, get over your herpes concern there is nothing to suggest HSV. EWH
Also, the skin has now dried a bit where that little bit of irritation was. I must stress though, that this is in a very very small area. But anyway, I am concerned that this is the "crusting over" stage of herpes. While the irritation did sting a bit, it was small in size and only located at the top opening. And it stung only in certain circumstances (sometimes walking, the first instant in the shower, sometimes to the touch). Is this consistent with herpes? Perhaps prior to the irritation there was a small blister located just in that opening and it was not large enough for me to notice until it popped and hurt.
Does any of this make sense?
Thanks
But do herpes sores/blisters/lesions/whatever you want to call them, bleed? Is it possible that the irritation at the opening of my uretha actually a herpes blister and/sore that was just open and bleeding?
The medicine (now on day three of it) has seemingly helped the "irritation" and burning sensation while urinating, however some (now milky) discharge seems to still be present.
I agree completely with the course of action your doctor has taken. Even though their “classical discharge is cloudy or yellow, infections such as gonorrhea and chlamydia regularly cause irritation which can cause their discharge to become pink or even frankly bloody. Similarly pain of the sort you describe is typical. on the other hand, it is virtually unheard of for a person to get a first episode of herpes without having sores or lesions on their skin surface. You need not be concerned about herpes unless you develop lesions. If you do, then you should be tested for herpes with a swab test for culture or PCR, not a blood test.
Hope this helps. EWH
