This is an old post, but to clarify, cipro is no longer used to treat gonorrhea as there is resistance to it.

I don't think it would be a great drug of choice for chlamydia or gonorrhea, it might be helpful, but I don't think it's indication is for that in particular. I'm no doctor, but I've read that azithromycin is the drug of choice for chlamydia or gonorrhea. Also before you start your antibiotic regimen, I've read it's best to recieve an injection of rocephin (ceftriaxone). But I'm no doctor so I can't say what works best.
thats what the doctor prescribed me but its not for chamyldia or gonnorhea, its for a regualr urinary tract infection.
