Concerned about the Medications
Hi there,
I have been tested a year ago and got a positive result for chlamydia and I was too nervous, so I did not go to the doctor until 4 months later, which was last week, and got a prescription of (2 X 500) azithromycin to take care of it. My doctor had me do a urine test to make sure if I had anything else. Then a week later, I was told that my urie was tested positive for gonorrhea as well. SO I went back and picked up the medication for it, which was one 500mg ciprofloxacin tablet. It has been 3 days already and the burning sensation has decreased, but still there and the discharge still occurs. The discharge is really uncomfortable, and I just want it to be gone already. I was wondering whether or not the medicine was effective and if I should call my doctor about this and to be prescribed stronger medication.

if things aren't better, return to your provider.
You should've been given a shot of ceftriaxone for your gonorrhea.

It is almost 2 weeks and I am still experiencing a bit of discharge and a bit of a tingling sensation also. Does this mean that the Suprax did not work?

Symptoms can last up to 2 weeks. Generally when they start to decrease it means the medication is working and should be fully gone soon.

I am assuming its a good sign (would love to have reinforcement on this statement). I was wondering how long will it be for all the symptoms to be cleared up?
