You need to discuss this with your doctor, not me as there is a need for clinical assessment. Both erythromycin and simvistatin can have side effects which effect the liver. Please discuss this with your doctor.

One last question dr. I mentioned that the dr I saw gave me four pills as a precaution for bacterial infection. The pills were erythromyocin (one dose of four pills) I also take 40mg of simvastatin for high cholesterol. Could this possibly be causing my discomfort in the liver area since you said my type of risk is not a risk for hepatitis? If it could be will this discomfort go away on its own over time or do I need to do something specific. Thank you very much for your help. You did provide some sense of calm and relief with your previous response.
Thank you for your response.
Please re-read my answer. While the text books recommend a 3 month test as "conclusive" discussions about what is conclusive when there is NO RISK are a waste of time.
The pills you took as "back up" were similarly a waste of time. Please believe your tst results and do not let your anxiety get the best of you. On the other hand, your abdominal bloating could be a side effect of the medications you did not need.

Thank you doctor. Would you say the 8way week hep b test is conclusive? Also being that I had felt the upper right discomfort before the test, would it have shown up on the test? I forgot to mention that after my initial test the doctor have me four pills to take all at once. He said my tests for gonorrhea and chlamydia were negative but these pills were simply a backup. Would these pills definitely rule out the bacterial infections? Also I usually don't lose weight easily and that is occurring now. Is it the stress and anxiety. I just worry because of the abdominal bloating and the discomfort. Thank you in advance for your advice and response.
Welcome to our Forum. I would urge you to stop worrying about this exposure- it was no risk. there is no evidence of hepatitis or HIV ever being spread through receipt of oral sex. There is not even no mention of the possibility of hepatitis transmission through oral sex in medical textbooks.
The testing you have received proves that you were not infected, even if your partner happened to have infection. Further testing is, quite simply a waste of your time and money.
As for your right upper abdominal discomfort, this is due to something other than hepatitis or HIV, of which there are many possible causes. If your doctor tells you there is nothing to worry about, then I tend to agree. Whether guilt or shame might be contributing to your concerns, loss of sleep, etc is worth considering.
I hope my comments are helpful to you. EWH
