Could this be an STD?

A week ago I received oral sex from another man I just met. The next day or so I started feeling a slight itching/burning sensation around the tip of my penis that comes and goes. I have not had any discharge or pain while urinating. A week and half has passed and it just comes and goes. It's not unbearable but uncomfortable and noticeable.

I did just go get tested today for gonorrhea and chlamydia; however, will not know the results for a couple of 5-7 days. The nurse practitioner did not seem to interested to treat me with any medicines since he said "it could mostly be in your head. Gonorrhea is a possible oral transmission, but since there is no discharge not to worry."

Has anyone ever had the same symptoms or problems?
