Could this be an std?

I have slept with one new person within the last couple of months. We used a condom for sex but have had unprotected oral sex. I have noticed that my tonsils are very swollen and it is somewhat uncomfortable to swallow. They are not red, they don't hurt, there are no other symptoms in my throat. I also had some white spots on my throat and swollen lymph nodes but I was given and antibiotic and something to swish and swallow and those have gone away and stayed away. I swill have the swollen tonsils though and I've gone to an ear nose and throat doctor and he basically says that your tonsils can hold viruses and has given me two treatments of something he puts on the back of my throat. It doesn't look any better though.  I also have been noticing a dull pain in my left pelvis area. Which might be unrelated but I figured it was worth mentioning. Could this be an std?

Then it is possible that you could have one, but could many other things. Would have to see a Dr, oral STD's are not common.
