Could this be herpes worried!

by Keverster, Sep 09, 2009 12:12AM
For the past few weeks I have had these red bumps with a whitish center. Some have gone away but a few new ones have popped up. They are located in the pubic hair region above my penis. My penis and scrotum have no bumps at all. I have used a weak electric razor (poor charge) to trim the hair in the area to a near bare existance.

I have popped a few of the bumps and some white puss comes out then bleed. They are like small zits almost but there are more than one. Maybe 6-7 they are scattered throughout the hair and are as high as 3-4" below my belly button.

I have had unprotected sex with several partners in the past however have had the same sexual partner for the past 6 months and she has been faithful and shows no signs of this *rash*

What could this be? Herpes or something else? I have had no fever, swallen glands, and these bumps have not burst open or scabbed on their own

this sounds like you have a folliculitis going on. see your provider today or tomorrow for proper evaluation and treatment.

These several bumps still persist unchnaged other thAn the ones I popped which slowly are turning into scars (I believe). These bumps upon further investigation look like Molluscum contagiosum. They are shiney kinda fleshy colored. they are spread Around And not clustered. I have had no swallen lymph nodes, fever, flu like symptoms And they do not itch, hurt, or tingle. I would never have noticed them until careful examination. Would you agree this is not herpes at this point??? I am going to a doc tomorrow kinda want a better piece of mind before I go in.

going to the doctor is the best course of action since these have been present for a few weeks now. we'd just be guessing as to what is going on.

Just got back from the doctor confirmed my belief. Of mulluscum and used acid to treat them.
