Crabs from wrestling?

by Micky33, Jan 04, 2005 12:00AM
Is it possible to catch crabs from a sparring partner during the sport of wrestling? Especially if the guy has really hairy legs?
Thanks

I have never heard of it, but I'm sure it is possible.  There is a condition well known in wrestlers called herpes gladiatorum--type 1 HSV infection of the' neck, shoulders, or almost anywhere on the body, acquired from their competitors' oral herpes infections.  The same sort of thing probably can happen with pubic lice (crabs).  I doubt "really hairy legs" are necessary.
