Cuts

I recently got a cut during sex  eventually wen i went to the doctor he told me i had an yeast infection.... after taking the medication ( Sporqsec) i was still get the cut wile having sex. the doctor told me that i was getting the cut because of the yeast infection he gave me a gel to use called candid V gel... i am currently using the gel.
but can the cut be a sign of an std??

Yes it can be, but it doesn't have to be.  You could be getting the cut because you are still having sex while its irritated from yeast.  If you abstain for even a week, it might heal.

If it is an std, it might be herpes.  How long have you had the cut?

the first time i got the cut was in august.... havent had sex until october... but wen ihavesex iget the cut but den it heals up over night an goes away.....im using the gel for like 3 days now an it appears to be working.Can a blood test show up herpes?

Yes, ask your doctor for a type specific IgG herpes blood test.

If it comes back positive for type 1, you won't know if that's an oral or genital infection, but if its type 2, its genital.  For more info on that, check the herpes handbook at www.westoverheights.com
