Do I have HPV?

Hi, Im new to the forum I am a 21 year old female. About 6 weeks ago I had a second sexual encounter with a guy i had known for 5 months. This time I gave him oral and we had vaginal sex but the condom broke. About a week or so later I developed a flesh colored bump with a red center the size of a pin on my cheek and a small white spot that felt kind of scaly. My throat also began to feel swollen for about 3 or 4 days but I didnt have a problem eating. I was also running mild fevers. About a week after these symptoms I went to the clinic and I was tested for chlamydia, gonorhea, syphilis and hiv all of those test came back negative. So after being tested I have ran a mild fever a few more times, I was itching all over, my throat has a weird feeling not sore though I had a funny taste on the back of my tongue one day and my tonsils look kind of red. I have had some vaginal itching and discomfort and i noticed a string of small flesh colored bumps along both sides of my labia. I noticed some thick white discharge yesterday.

Last week I went to a ear, nose and throat specialist and he examined my throat and said it looked like a throat infection and prescribed me clindamycin. I have been taking it for about 4 days and my throat doesn't feel any better in fact it somewhat feels worst at times. When i bend my head down it feels weird and my throat sometimes feels kind of achy especially around where I believe is the tonils.

My questions are how accurate is the ear, nose and throat doctors theory? is it possible I have oral Hpv in the throat? Is it possible I have genital warts? does it sound like oral hpv? If not hpv what could it be?

Please help, thanks in advance

Well dry lips are normal with the weather changing.. as for the bumps on your vava and the discharge you need to see a doctor for a diagnosis. you need to get a vaginal swab for gonorrhea and chlamydia and you should consider a full STD panel like I said before. Yes you were at a low risk but you should still get tested. PLUS I said a low low risk for HPV since that seemed to have been your main concern.

bumps in the mouth can be normal but we don't know your body or mouth you need to see a doctor for a proper exam.

So i've recently noticed these small flesh colored bumps on my labia. They are multiple on both sides. I've also been experiencing some itchiness on my vagina and discomfort whenver i sit down its kind of a feeling like pricking and is hard to explain. I've noticed some thick white discharge. Also last month my period only stayed on for 3 days that is 2 full days with the first day being spotting i guess and it was brown. my normal period is abot 5 days.

In my mouth I've noticed some pimple like bumps under my tongue on the base and the part where the tongue connects. Also small tiny bumps on my soft palate. My throat is aching alot lately after being on clindymacin for a throat infection. And my lips all of a sudden became extremely dry, which tiny bumps on them more so on my bottom lip.

Im freaking out now, I know you said my chances are low but there are aalot of things going wrong with my body that I don't know what it is. The doctors and clinics won't help. Am I just stressing to much or should I really be worried?

I can't tell you if you did or didn't contract HPV, MANY MANY MANY PPL have or had HPV, your encounter although a risk was a lower risk due to the protection at first and the brief unprotected due to a broken condom. I can tell you not to worry about it at this point BC even if you did by chance get HPV high or low it could take years to become active. I can tell you the risk of getting it orally was too low to worry about.

well not the one for the chlamydia, gono and thrich, but unfortunetly you will have to repeat the others at the correct time.

I wouldn't worry too much about the HPV at this point, if you go to your yearly exams if you had by chance gotten it than they will catch it during your pap.

thanks. so basically my negative test mean nothing? I've never had unprotected sex with any partners just this one time the condom broke.

oh and one more thing, If you've had other unprotected sexual encounters than you could have contracted HPV from any of those partners.

Non risk HPV (WARTS) is more likely to be transmitted orally. High risk is not a high risk for oral transmittion. Yes it can happen but it is rare.  see below for std time line

Chlamydia, gonorreha, trich- 7 days post
HSV- 3 months
HIV- 3 months
Syphilis- 6-8 weeks

HPV can show at anytime from weeks to months which is why a yearly pap is important but there is no sustained time line for HPV testing

Thanks for your help. I was just concerned because i know that hpv can be passed orally and can cause oral cancer. Im hopin that if he actually saw something seriously wrong he would tell me.

How accurate is a Dr...can't say.
Never seen a case of oral HPV.
Gentail warts is possible but can't say based on symptoms.

Follow up with your Dr, it's tough to say waht bumps and stuff like that actually are.
