Do I have a STD?
I recently went for my check up on July 6 for my depo and they told me I had and std when I called on July 30. When I called on the nurse told me I had Gonorrhea and Chlamydia at the time I wasn't home so I tried to get my records transfered. When the other MD office received my records they said I had Chlamydia not Gonorrhea. By the time they got my results they closed and I went to another doctor the first clinic never sent my records so I was treated for Chimed and Gonorrhea and a bacterial infection b/c he didn't believe that I had Gonorrhea he told me I would be in alot of pain. I did later found out that the test showed me positive for Gonorrhea. The issue is that my boyfriend and I have unprotected oral and vaginal sex and he got tested twice and has nothing. I did sleep with someone else four months ago with protected sex and told them to also get tested. Which I don't believe that I got it from them b/c its been so long ago and we used protection and there was no oral sex. Recently I have been taking the medicine and I started having vaginal buringin and they prescribe me another medicine to take for a yeast infection. I never had any unusual discharge ( green or yellow). I do remember when my boyfriend got back form the army on the 14 we started having unprotected sex a few weeks later, it was burning to pee and I had a discharge that was white,so i took a monastat one a day. We had sex too soon b/c the medicine had not dissolved all the way and when we tried to have sex it was all over him. Other than that I haven't had any symptoms and those are common of a yeast infection. But if the other guy comes back negative also is it possible i was misdiagnosed? And even if the other guy gave it tom me my boyfriend should have it too but he tested negative for it twice. He was tested last week and the week before SOMEONE PLEASE HELP SORRY IT'S SO LONG??????????? also if we did have unprotected oral sex could it be in my throat also will the medicine I'm taking now treat it or will i have to get that tested to tomorrow I'm going to get tested again to make sure my results were right.
we'd only be guessing at this point. You were treated for the possible gonorrhea so that's all that matters.

The other guy results finally came in and he tested negative for everything. Do you think I ever had anything?

I don't know what this is, but you should talk to your doctor about it.

For the past two years I have had an anal discharge. Normally when I have a BM when I wipe the tissue will be coverd with a lot of clear mucus most of the time not even stool. I didn't really think that there was a problem I just thought I had a lot of lubercation when I had a bm. Also sometimes I have really bad sharp pains in my anus I could be walking and the pain hits me and I just fall down from how painfull it is and can't move untill the pains stop. I sometimes have hemrrods but I have the mucus all the time. Also today when I had a bm i noticed that the mucus looked white and it was a lot. I worried and don't know what to do. I don't engage in anal sex, and I have cancer in my family my grandmother died from breast cancer her mother dided from thorat cancer. On my fathers side my great grandmother died from cancer i can't remember what type. My grandfather has Diabettes. Those are the only medical issues in my family can someone tell me whats going on.

You can talk to your doctor about another pap, but I don't see a big need for one right now. Nothing would likely develop that fast.
Keep in mind that the pap only looks for abnormal cells on your cervix, and is different than std testing. When you have your next pap done, ask them if they will do an HPV test with it, given what you have found out.
Its up to your bf to determine his sexual identity, and if he doesn't want to call himself gay, that's his choice. The label doesn't even matter - the fact that he hasn't been honest with you (or himself, maybe) is what matters.
You do need to test for HIV 90 days from your last anal or vaginal encounter with him.

Thanks. I will keep you posted. I still wonder do I need to get another pap smear I had one July 6 thats how I found out I had gono. Then I had one 2 weeks ago to test for gono chym and trich and they came back negative but do I need to go ahead and get tested for everything b/c thats all the gyno tested me for. When I went to take my hiv test the test administor told me I should get tested for hpv also.
You need to wait 90 days from your last encounter with him. He is high risk if he is gay and having sex for money with strangers. You already suspect he gave you the other STDS and he likely did. The docs here will tell you wait six weeks and get tested as todays tests are very accurate and sensitive , do that it will help ease your mind. In the interim do not have any unprotected sex. I would then get a test at 90 days and move on. the clock on the woindow for you starts from the last time you had UNPROTECTED SEX not sex witha condom not oral sex UNPROTECTED vaginal or Anal. The cures are excellent if you were givne the correct meds and took them all likely the STDS are a memory. Your frequent urination you described likely was a UTI but the antibiotics you were taking for gon and chl. could have addressed that as well. I got my results back from the gyno, he tested me for Chlamydia Gonorrhea and trich and it came back negative. I recently found out that my boyfriend was gay. I ream his e-mails and found out that he hooked up with over 15 people all random. And even on one instance offered to have sex and ingage in activites for money. There were over 80 e-mails in the sent folder dated back to June 29, 2008. He claims that he is not gay that he was just playing around on the internet, but from the things I read I don't believe him. There was also instance when he tried to hook up with random people why waiting on a delayed bus and when he was in the army. I really have no doubt now that the std came from him even though I now test negative I believe that the medcine that I took cured the infection. He countines to say since he tested negative twice that he didn't give me an std but now i think that he got his medcine and tested again to show me the negative results the first test i never seen the results of only the second one and when I told him I had an std he actually on the army base don't know too much about their procedures but he said they took him to a emergency room to be tested i think he must have been in some kind of pain and thats the reason he went. My question is now that I've learned this new infromation what is my risk for other infections. I got a rapid swab test for HIV yesterday and it came back negative but is it really accurate when I had unprotected sex with him a week before I also tested negative in April and had unprotected sex with him then but in between this time after that he went back to the army and i didn't see him again untill June 14, 2008. Also on the last sent e-mail the date on it was August 18,2008 I think and also on an e-mail that was sent on August 12, 2008 he requested for someone to come to our house at 10:00 am. So I don't know. Also he says he likes guys but doesn't consider himself to be gay? Thoughts and concerns any replies are highly appreciated
I went to the Gyno today to be retested he said everything looked fine, but that sometimes gono or chym show no symptoms. He said my results would be in next week.
I stopped taking the medcine today I feel extremly better but I am still going to go the doctor on Monday to get additional testing. Also when I went to use the bathroom this mornig I didn't see in blood in my urine still a clear discharge but I've always had a clear discharge. I read that the blood could have been from the medcine discoloration or that can hint to a UTI. Also AJ told if I got the infection it was from my boyfriend due that my last sexual incounter before him was at the end of feb. with protection and that I selpt with my boyfriend in april and then Regularly in June when we oved it together but he says that he hasn't slept with anyone else so thats another reason I didn't think that it was gono.
You need to go and be seen. Having to urinate this often means you need additional testing done.

ok my thread is Do I have a STD? When I called the MD office they told me to stop taking the meds and to come in and get retested b/c I'm now having urge to urinate almost every second and I didn't have any symptoms before I started taking the meds. The nurse at the md office said that she thinks I have UTI and that they would retest me especially sice my boyfriend was tested twice once by them and his results was negative twice now I'm starting to see blood and a clear discharge along with the urge to urinate
boyfriend took a blood test, a urine test, and a swad test, the other guy took a blood test and a urine test he said he asked the md to do a swad test also but she told him that was no nessary I had a pap smear done and urine taking and a hiv test done. I was going to get retested today but read if your taking antibotics that it wouldn't be acurate. One of the medcine I'm takin now metronidazole is used to treat Trichomonas and I'm also taking fluconazole and doxycyline Hycate. Since my results never were faxed to his office he treated me for gon., chyl, and a bacteria infection. We I called a couple days ago asking about the burnning the perscribe the meds for the yeast infection. And also I didn't start back burning untill I started taking the medcine. So I bascally had a whole month of no problem up untill now. My boyfriend came back on June 14 a week later I treated myself for yeast infection then a week later I went for a check up and had no more problems untill now. Do you know how long it usually takes to stop having symptoms when treated for gon? I will cheak for BV i don't know what treats that . Also my boyfriend has been in the army for basic training and AIT so I know he didn't have time to mess around and the other guy we used protection thats another reason it is a mystery where this came from? Also and how I have some and my boyfriend doesn't who has been tested twice.
You mention several time you and your sex partners were tested. Could you be more specific in how they were tested and what type of tests were used. I recommend the early morning urine for the NAAT amplfication test for men and a cervical swab with a Genprobe for women. Your test may have been a false positive or one or your partners may have had a false negative test. I recommend retesting for everyone involved. Also, if you are still have symptoms, be sure to have your Doctor check for BV and Trichomonas. Take care.
Thanks...........It's all really weird I never had a STD before and have only slept with these two people and my boyfriend was tested twice and his results was negative but I told he should get treated anyway but his doctor told him that if he didn't have any symptoms and his results were negative he wouldn't get retested but he didn't take the swab test nor did i . The other guy just got tested and his results won't be untill 2 weeks but he says that he hasn't had any symptoms either. It also said that the last time he had sex before me had been 8 months and he and I had sex almost 5 months ago so i know i got it from one of them i should have got retested before taken the meds I'm still have the same symptoms and its going on the 7th day now and when i called md office back about the burning and frequent uritation thats why they perscribed me yeast infection meds to me it seem like if it was gon. that the symptoms would be gone by now
Well with one office saying that you have then and that and the other office saying you only have this. I would finish the medicine and get retested, I would also have your boyfriend tested the same time you do, because it is possible that he did have it and you don't want him to give it back to you.
I don't know if you had it in the throat if the medicine will cure that, but ask for a throat swab and that will test for it. Avoid having sex for the time being.
A couple of other people on here have more medical knowledge then I do so look for other responces other then just mine.
