Do I need to be worried if I did not have intercourse or oral sex?

by Roxie994, Jun 27, 2009 01:54PM
I never do this but ended up fooling around with a guy on vacation two weeks ago. We did not have intercourse or oral sex, but we did far more than I have ever done with someone I just met. We essentially ended up naked on the beach (although my bikini bottoms were on for the most part). Needless to say, hands were everywhere, and I'm not certain where exactly any fluids ended up. (I believe his hands even ended up in my mouth at one point. He was a freaky boy!)

I just went in for a pap smear and briefly discussed the situation with my doctor, explaining I was convinced that my kharma is not only hell but also to catch all sorts of diseases and to somehow become impregnated (even though I'm on the pill and did not have intercourse). She laughed a bit at my story, checked out the region, and said the only thing I need to worry about is yeast! However I'm admittedly a bit OCD and can not seem to clear my conscience. Do I need to be worried about anything, and should I be tested for anything else at this time?  Thanks so much for your help!

Thanks for re-posting.  We must have missed your earlier post.  Sorry.

I agree 100% with your doctor.  There is no risk of STD at all from the activities you describe.  Much of what you describe is essentially masturbation and STDs are no spread by masturbation even though it is typical for there to be genital secretions of the participants spread to their partners.  You do not need to worry and do not need testing.

Hope this helps.  Your doctor and I are in complete agreement - there is no reason for concern.  EWH
