Does he need a syphilis test?

Hello, My boyfriend and I decided to have std testing prior to sex.  He went for tesing and his doctor told him, after a visual test and interview, that he does not feel he needs the syphilis test.  Do I need to be concerned?  Thank you.

No, syphilis is rare in developed countries and rare in women. So unless you are in a 3rd world country or your bf has been with men before i would see no need to do a syphilis test.
