Does pain when urinating always = STD?

by maverick08, Sep 11, 2007 05:36PM
I am a 19 year old heterosexual male who gave unprotected oral sex for about 10-20 seconds before realizing it was a bad idea and stopped. The encounter may have had some genital to genital contact but no penetration at all.

The next weekend I had protected vaginal sex with a different partner. No part of the encounter was unprotected exception for manual stimulation.

About 6 days after my first encounter and 1 or 2 days after my second encounter i began experiencing a slight discomfort during urination which was more severe when I would first begin urinating and when finishing. I also felt the urge to urinate almost immediately afterwards though such attempts resulted in not much urine.

That is the only symptom I have had. I have not had any bumps, scabs, blisters. I have not had any discharge of any kind. Before these two encounters the last sexual encounter I had was unprotected vaginal and oral which was in April 07. After this encounter I was tested for Gon/Chlam and tested negative.

So my questions are:
1. Could my situation be indicative of Gonorrhea, Chlamydia or Herpes?

2. Could the burning sensation be due to the fact that I am using a new brand/type of condoms plus a new type of body wash?

3. Could the burning sensation be a symptom of herpes obtained either from the latest two encounters or from the encounter I had an April?

4. Will all of the symptoms of a particular STD occur at once? Because so far the only symptom I have had is mild  (not severe) burning during urination and the frequent urge to urinate. I have had this symptom for about 4 days now.

I would at least get checked out.  It is uncommon for men in general to get UTI especially at your age but it does still happen.  Both of your encounters had very minimal risk of getting an std.  Herpes could be a possibility and their would be no way to determine when you could have gotten it unless you had been tested prior to the recent encounters.  I am not familiar with herpes exposure and symptoms like other people on this board.

My suggestion would be to see health care provider and get checked out.  They can run urine analysis for all bacteria including stds like G/C/NGU..  herpes would require a blood test.

It could be UTI infection see you are having frequecy and urgency when you urinate.  I am not a doctor and trying to guess at it from described symptoms is impossible from the web.  Your best bet is to see a doctor and get checked out.
