Dont know what to think

My results on 2/6 came back as: RPR reactive at a 1:1 titer undiluted but the FTA was "equivocal".  The repeat results (2/18) states: RPR W/RFLX  Titer was Non-reactive but the FTA-ABS was REACTIVE. Do I have syphilis, AIDS or something? If so, what is it please? I'm scared and this is all I have been thinking about since I receive the first set of results.  I was having, burning, stinging, numbness in left leg.  It eased up then I started feeling it in my right leg but not as much and off and on.  Now I'm feeling this in my arm and upper back. In the past 2 days or so, I had a headache off and on in back on head and a feeling of heartburn as well.  I don't know what to think and I'm trying to remain calm but anxiety and nerves are getting the best of me.  To the point I have rapid heartbeat.  What do you think I should do?  My neurologist is recommending me to see specialist w/CDC.  What do I do in the meantime with the feeling I'm having? Do I need the shot(s)? What can I take for my heartburn and headache or is it just me stressing out? HELP PLEASE!

Most anxiety meds are prescribed to be taken daily for them to be effective. But whatever your Dr said how to take them is what you should follow.

Yes, that is correct.  I have not had sex with anyone since. You have helped me to calm down when I read your response.  I've received meds for anxiety today.  I don't plan on taking them daily in hopes I don't need them.  Thank you very much!

So this is 2 years after you had sex? If it was syphilis then your tier would be a lot higher.

Thanks for replying.  My neur. wants me to have the test where he would test the nerves in my legs and arms. (his specialty)  This specialist might take too many days to get me into her office. Is it safe to get my mind off syphilis at this time or consider the jury is still out?  At times it feels like something is moving inside me.  I'm trying not to go crazy. You telling me, one month before exactly 2yrs since l had sex, and I finally get (unusual-swelling, numbness, etc) and its syphilis.  Could this be lupus?  I'm not going to start asking 'lupus' questions.  Are these symptoms of AIDS,Ghon. or Clam.?  You only said 'unrelated to syphilis'....which makes me wonder more considering 4 days after having  blood drawn, the health clinic contacted me.  I had them take what they need to test ALL of them.  When l call to get results, I get voice mail.  On the other hand, she told me the results were in yesterday (wed) and my phone haven't rung.  Is it safe to think the other test are negative....or do I di what I've been doing best...freaking out!  No news are good news...right?  (I will keep trying to get their results)  That's why l went to clinic, to get same test done by 2 different places. I just pray its not one of the other or anything for that matter.  Thanks for listening!!

The result of 1:1 is very low, possible an infection that was treated a long time ago or maybe a false positive. I would follow up with your Dr or see the specialist your Dr is telling you to. Symptoms seem unrelated to syphilis.
