Dull continuos

Hi,

Had a dull continuous ache on the running down the right side of my penis for the last 3/4 weeks.  Was visually diagnosed with herpes by the doc at the hospital, but culture came back negative.  Got to go for blood tests at 12 weeks exposure to be tested.

Is this dull ache caused by herpes?

I have read (many times) that a blood test is accurate at 3 - 4 months?

Had the pain pretty much for the last 4/5 weeks.   Had the herpes 'incident' about 6 weeks again, so yeah, did come on after the incident.

Still waiting on an Igg blood test for herpes, so that prob ain't helping!

Anxiety. The mind is a powerful tool. I once thought I had dull ache in my testicles. After an exam from a Dr I stopped thinking about it and the pain went away. It was all in my head. And the timing suggests that it is in your head. Just after the herpes incident did this pain come on. I could be wrong but it is very possible.

Could be in your head. You may think it is impossible, but trust me it is very possible.

Thanks for the quick reply Vance.

If this dull ache isn't related to a STD, then any ideas what it could be?  It has only appeared after the herpes 'incident'.

Thanks again.

Never heard of a dull ache being related to a STD at all.

Thanks Joggen.

Still got this dull ache on the right side of my penis (been about a month now).  Anyone has ideas what it might be?  Got an appointment with my GP next week.

On the herpes note, I have a red rash on the shaft when I pull back my foreskin.  I have read this is a symptom of the virus being present.  I have had no sores/blisters since initially having 3 small white / yellow on my penis during my initial 'outbreak'.

Thanks in advance.

I am not aware of a dull ache in the penis as a symptom of herpes. Your blood test will tell the tale on whether you have it.
