Hello,
I had an encounter with someone I'm not sure of their sexual history about 2.5 months ago. We had unprotected oral sex (give & receive) ... I have called her, and she assures me she has never had symptoms of any STD, and I tend to believe her. But of course, I can't take her word for it.
Believe me, I'm feeling more than foolish about it .All seems to have been fine up until about 1 week ago when I had some sensitivity in my tongue. I ignored it until yesterday and found I just had a few red dots on it; the sensation was as if I had drank too much orange juice (which I just started to have a large glass every AM for 2 weeks prior to the bumps - since stopped this). When I had a better look, I seen that the large taste buds at the back of my tongue were raised quite a bit more than normal as well. Went to the Dr's this AM, he took a look and said not to be concerned, they were just very minor ulcers and gave me some Oracort (dental paste). Asked him of the possibility that it could be an STD and he said not to be concerned at all. He also mentioned my tonsils where slightly inflamed too. His diagnosis, I believe was based on me having a bit of a chest/upper airway cold the last 2 weeks. Coughing some phlegm, and have that distinct "sick" taste in my mouth when I cough, but it's not gotten any worse or much better for that matter. I'm likely being a hypochondriac as I have a tendency to over health issues. I gave blood about 3 weeks after my encounter and haven't heard back that I've tested positive for anything. If you could give me your opinions it would be greatly appreciated.
