Epididymitis anyone?

by Tommy420, Apr 27, 2007 12:00AM
Has anyone here been diagnosed with epididymitis?

I was diagnosed with gonorrhea over 4 weeks ago, given 250mg IV shot of ceftriaxone + 1000mg of zithromax and told to not have sex for 7 days. I followed all of doc's instructions. About a week ago, started having pain in my left testicle, and it's been consistent since then. It's not necesarilly a throbbing pain, but it just feels like someone kicked me in the nuts.

Saw the doc today and he said it didn't seem like epididymitis b/c my testicles weren't swollen. He suggested it was in my head, since I had been diagnosed with gonorrhea. I insisted that I take another gonorrhea/chlamydia test, and the results will come out next week.

Is epididymitis always paired with physical swelling of the testicles and fever, as mentioned under smypomts? Has anyone had this and what symtpoms did you experience? Thanks
