How likely is it for someone to to receive a false positive result for a Gonorhea test?
I have been with the same womanWomen's way for 2 yrs and she just tested positive for Gonorrhea. She has been tested twiceTwice-a-day since we've been together (The last test being in February) and from what I know our relationship is monogamous. When she found out, she accused me of cheating and giving her gonorrhea. Once I heard this I went in to get tested and my results came back negative. And her getting retested because she was already treated. I'd like to believe she is being up front and honest with me, but all the facts are pointing to her cheating. I would have never expected this. I have read alot about false positives over the last few days but not sure if it would be possible. I'm just hoping that the false positive explanation isn't just false hope.
Are false positives really possible?
What could cause a false positive?
When talking to her doctors, what questions should I ask?
Are there any other things I can do to have the previous samples from her test run again?
the first test was several months after we started dating. The second and third tests were given to here when she went to the clinic to pick up more Birth Control.
2. Mix up in the lab, contaimination, sample taken was not good
3. Nothing to really ask them
4. No
If her test was not taken from the first urine of the day or urine that was at least 2 hours since her last urine then that could be a cause (but that normally results in a false negative).
You are never going to know if she cheated and had it or if the test was wrong.
Why is she testing so much since you have been together?
have you had unprotected sex with her recently?
