Folliculitis - STD?

I developed a rash of pimples that extended from my belly button to my penis that the dermatologist diagnosed as folliculitis.  She prescribed an antibiotic and Clindagel.  The rash disappeared, but I began to notice that my face and forehead would develop a rash, especially after a hot shower or exercise.  I stopped using the Clindagel and I noticed that the "folliculitis" may be coming back and now my face and forehead are still broken out. The initial rash happened to occur one month after unprotected vaginal sex with a woman, so I became worried about HIV.  I had an ELISA test and a PCR test that both came back negative.  Does this sound like anything you've seen?

No, this doesn't sound at all like HIV; and both the ELISA and PCR are highly reliable after a month.  I won't try to compete with a dermatologist who has actually seen your rash, so I have nothing else to add about your diagnosis.  But HIV isn't a worry.
