Doc:

I'm scared to death.... It's probably psychological but still, Im worried. I have performed cunnilingus (and no other sexual activity) to a stripper in, if Im not wrong, the first days of April; after the encounter (20 mintues I think, I brushed my mouth and have a little bleeding)and that I remember there was no signs of blood in the girl or any other strange thing in the area. I remember to had several episodes of headaches and some days that I was very tired up (but I thing that this could be because I was studying) that I remember I didnt had or having other problems. I have been reading some other topics related to cunnilingus and that calmed me down; but I think that answering to me this question I will recover the calm. If I have any STD, what of them can be transmitted by "french" kiss? What is the probability that  I have HIV? I allready go to test for syphilis and HIV... it is possible that I got syphilis or any other STD?

PS. The site is great and very useful to know that here are more objectiv and concious of giving answers. Thank for your work.

See many other posts about the near-zero STD/HIV transmission risk associated with cunnilingus.  And no STD is transmitted by kissing, with the rare possible exception of syphilis.  (HSV-1 can be transmitted by kissing, but in that setting isn't considerd an STD.)  The chance you got HIV from the exposure you describe is nil.

But as I have said many times on this forum, a negative HIV test likely will be more reassuring than my words.  Go get tested for HIV and, while you're at it, syphilis; both tests will be negative.

Thanks for the compliment.  We try.   HHH, MD

hey Doc,
i have read thru all the other posts on this subject gave me a lil more peace of mind. but im worried, i performed cunnilingus on massage parlor massuese, the only sex act performed. now i got a pain on da back of my mouth like underneath the right side of my tongue towards da back. really started hurting today 6 days after the encounter. it started with a sore throat, which started a two days after i did it. and i feel the glands under my right side under my jaw a little swollen. i didnt see any sores on her vagina and she appeared "very clean" noticed no smell either. i didnt have any sores in my mouth or lips or bleeding gums, i rinsed my mouth with listerine as soon as i could dat day. started taking amoxicillin today a friend of mines works at a pharmacy. made a doc appt for 2 weeks from now, im gonna stop by them sooner. i just had asked for a physical appointment. this is the first time i ever performed cunnilingus ;/ wish i didnt

Doc, If test results are negative (I'll have the results next week), did I have to re-test?

Is diarreah a syphilis symptom?

Syphilis doesn't cause diarrhea.  You do not need further testing after you get the negative results next week.

Doc

Test results were negatives, as you said... do u think I need to make other tests for any STD?

Noone seems to address the woman's chance of contracting HIV from the person performing cunnilingus on her. From what I have read thus far, it seems to me that the chances for her are even less than those of the insertive partner (of course barring heavily bleeding gums or any open sores or cuts on the vagina). Is this a correct assumption, or is it just wishful thinking on my part?
