Frequent Urination Sign For STD's?

by medquest1234, Jan 14, 2009 12:38AM
I'm a male in my early 20's. Recently, I visited a doctor due to frequent urination. There was no real burning or anything, but I was worried about the frequency. He said the preliminary urine test made him think it might be due to a urinary tract infection or bladder infection. However, he did not want to rule out gonorrhea or chlamydia, which he is testing it for.

Is there any real cause for concern in the STD department? I am in a mutually monogomous relationship so I do not think so. But, is it likely for it to be an STD? The tests should come back in a week, he said. Just don't want to worry all week for nothing. Thank you.

Well, I don't know enough here - how long have you been together?  The longer you've been together, the less of a chance its an std, assuming you both have been monogamous.
