I am just wondering if you got tested for other possible STDs? Also, herpes usually shows up pretty quickly (approx.2-20 days) ....but You must realize and I think that you do HSV1 and HSV2 can both be oral or genital.... But in order for you to get HSV2 orally from a partner who has it genital area you must have preformed oral sex on her... and the best way to know if your genital problem is HSV2 you need to be seen by the doctor at the time of the outbreak you can do that my calling your doctor and telling them you need to be seen ASAP! I hope this helps
Being negative for hsv2 3 months after the encounter makes it likely that you don't have hsv2. I also highly doubt you have it orally too. To greatly simplify it - hsv2 doesn't "like" the oral area so it rarely infects there. Since your hsv1 was positive a little over 2 weeks after the encounter it's likely that you had hsv1 orally since before you met this gal. Her kissing you with a cold sore isn't an issue since you already have hsv1 yourself.
So use this as a learning experience. use condoms unless you've seen the std test results of a partner yourself to know what they have and don't have. ASK if they know if they have a std or if they've ever had any. Don't just assume that if they had something they'd tell you. If you are going to continue to be sexual with this gal - ask her if she'd be willing to go on daily suppressive therapy to help lower your risk of contracting the virus from her. Her being on suppressive therapy with valtrex and you using a condom would make you very unlikely to contract hsv2 from her.
If your mouth lesions don't heal up within the next week - see your doctor. You very well might have a bacterial or fungal infection both orally and genitally that just isn't clearing up on its own or something going on.
