I am 20 year old male

I lost my virginity 7 weeks ago to an unkown female.  We had strictly vaginal intercourse, no anal touching or anything.  4 days after sex i had a fever and a few pimple in pubic hair region, went to doctor three days later and he said he was 95% sure it was not herpes as I was in no pain, had no itching, no swollen glands, and because there were hairs running throught these 'pimples', which suggested it was follcitus.  He said

Herpes rarely occurs in the pubic area.  The virus has to be "massaged" into the skin in order for infection to occur.  That is why almost all cases of initial genital herpes occur at the areas of maximum sexual friction--i.e., the penis in men (mostly the head or under the foreskin, but anywhere on the shaft) and the vaginal opening and labia minor in women.  Everybody gets anal itching from time to time. I cannot say yours is not due to herpes, but you describe no reason to suspect it.  Also, itching can accompany herpes outbreaks, but is rarely if ever the primary symptom.

All things considered, herpes is unlikely.  But discuss it with your personal health care provider if you remain concerned.

Good luck--  HHH, MD

Sorry I accidentally clicked send before done.

Relieved, i went back to normal life.  However a couple days after the doctors visit My pubic region was itchy for about a week followed by my anal region being itchy for 5 weeks now.  I did experience one more pimple type lesion between my scrotum and anus similiar to the other ones. So it has been 7 weeks now and anus itchy for 5 now. I have a few questions...

1) Is it possible I have anal herpres even though she never came close to that region?

2) How long does the itching persist during an outbreak? can it last 5 weeks?

3) Does the first outbreak always occur where the infection was transfered?

If you've been itching for this long then it's time to go back to the doctor.  You could  have any number of things going on causing itching this long. It's time for a further work up to find out just what is going on.  Even though it's still a little early - ask for a type specific herpes igg blood test just for the peace of mind since it's on your mind so much.

Yes you can get herpes lesions in the anal area even without having anal sex. It's the same group of nerves that supplies the entire boxer short area as we usually refer to it as.  Non-stop symptoms for this long though isn't likely to be due to herpes - even if you do have genital herpes.
