Genital Herpes from oral sex

Three days ago I met a girl and she performed oral sex on me and stupidly I did not wear a condom.  The girl did not show any signs of herpes ie cold sores etc.  I am now worried that I could have contracted genital herpes if she was shedding.  I have no visible signs but last night I started getting a sore throat which has been getting steadily worse.  I understand there is no definitive answer but I wondered if you could let me know 1) what the likelihood of being infected in such a case is and 2) could my throat be the first sign of my body defences kicking in, or are the first signs where the infection entered my system?

Your risk is so low that it you don`t need to be tested. Your sore throat may be just that , a viral upper respiratory illness. Take care

it's very unlikely you got herpes that way, especially if she had no signs of outbreak. Oral HSV2 is uncommon. Gonorrhea is a real possibility though. You should be checked for that if you feel any worry
