Genital Wart Treatment?

Hello,

Two days ago I received an acid treatment on my perineum to remove a small genital wart. The area surrounding the wart is now sore and lightly bleeding. The skin in that area appears to be very fragile and peeling and there is some fluid as well. Is this normal? I'm thinking it's probably a chemical burn but am a little concerned. Thanks
