Genital Warts from no sexual contact?

Hi, I went to the doctors the other day and I was diagnosed with genital warts, I told him I had never had any sexual contact with anyone.
I used to have warts on my hand and he said those warts transferred to my genitals, I didn't seem to question it until now, can you get genital warts this way or was I misdiagnosed?

Also, is it possible to get Genital Warts from receiving oral sex (fellatio), thanks for any answers ahead of time.

I'd really question the diagnosis since you were at incredibly low risk for warts and would get a 2nd opinion. Call your insurance and let them know why you need the 2nd opinion.

Well my current health insurance allows me to only see one provider and he said that he was going to just freeze it off (tomorrow) and that I should be good to go.

It's low risk of hpv from oral sex.

it's probably a good idea to avoid all sexual activity at this point until you get a more accurate diagnosis.

Thanks for the answer, any idea on the 2nd question? I'd like to be well-informed before pursuing any type of sexual activity.

it's not likely that warts on your hands transmitted to your genitals. there are over 130 different types of hpv but only about 30 of them are known to commonly infect the genitals and they are not the same types we get on our hands.

You need to be seen for a 2nd opinion elsewhere.
