Try Lamisil AT, it worked for me.
I have something similar, i developed a rash, sometimes itchy, not burny unless i put overthecounter antifungal on it. it spread to the base of my penis, not the actual penis itself the little fold on the mons pubis, its been there for a lil over a week. there are no blisters or pimples,
penis also appers to be very dry, get chaffed easily but no blisters or pimples that even remotley resemble herpes. i use baby powder a lot
vaseline helps with the dryness on my penis but i think i might need a stronger antifungal
Dr.,
I have something similiar-My inner thigh and scrotum are darker than other areas of my thigh. It occasionally itches but there are no blisters and it doesn't go away and than reappear-its been the same appearance for months now. Does this sound like a pigmentation of the skin due to an infection?
Any help would be appreciated-Thanks.
This doesn't sound like herpes or any other STD, and I doubt you caught it from the partner you had 4-5 months ago. Your description sounds like a fungal rash, i.e. jock itch, and the onset with the sexual encounter almost certainly is coincidental. If you are overweight, then perhaps nonspecific dermatitis of the sort that occurs where there is skin-to-skin contact without much exposure to the air. In the latter case, it might clear up with washing 2-3 times per day, wearing loose-fitting clothing as much as possible, and using talcum powder or cornstarch to maintain dryness. You could also try one of the over-the-counter antifungal creams for jock itch. If those measures don't help, see a health care provider. But don't lose sleep over the possibility of an STD.
