Very low chance with the cut on your finger. There is also no known benefit from taking anti-HCV meds.
Unprotected anal can be very risky. I'd also wonder if either of you have tested for HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia, etc.
I would absolutely trust what Bill says - he is very active on the Hep C forum, and certainly knows his stuff. (I'd certainly trust the others, but Bill has first hand knowledge of this stuff, too.)

Oh and yes Dallasfan,I am currently vaccinated for Hep A and B.
Thank you guys,
alll your opinions have been very helpful, much appreciated.
I was just wondering what do i have more risk of contracting it from, the actual sex,or the cut in my finger?
Know its a bit late, but I wish you all a great New Year!!
The risk for acquiring Hepatitis C infection are very ,very minute given your contact. To Be sure your may want to test in 6 to 8 weeks. It would also be a good idea to get the Hepatitis B and A vaccines to protect you in the future. There is no Hepatitis C vaccine at present. Infectious disease specialists would not recommend prophalactic use of the meds to treat Hepatitis C as there is no information about their effectiveness to prevent post exposure disease. The meds are Ribaviron and Interferon A both together. And yes treatment is very expensive and side effects are moderately bad.. Even in the documented cases of patients with Hepatitis C the cure rate is very low..30 % at best. My recommendation is to NOT worry.. your risk is very low. Your testing would be at your option later. Hope this helps.
I recommend you to be prescribed medications anti-HCV; under such circumstances, you will never know about getting or not getting disease. Drugs will cost a few hundreds.
If you wait for 2 months being infected, drugs will cost for one year treatment 28 thousands.
It is your decision!
While the risk of sexual transmission is thought to be quite low with HCV, anal sex might raise the risk some due to tissue tearing, resulting in a greater chance of blood to blood transfer. I’d be more concerned about HIV and Hepatitis B virus. It’s hard to conduct solid studies about this for obvious reasons, so the knowledge base for this includes anecdotal reports. Best to schedule a STD panel, including a Hep panel in the future. The HCV screening test will require you wait a few months for antibodies to develop; discuss this time frame with your doctor.
Best—
Bill
Well you can get it through sex, it is a way to get Hep C. Any 1 incident is low risk but vaginal and anal sex would increase the risk. I can't give you a number but it is a risk.
This is the extent of my knowledge of Hep C. Others will post to help you out.
