Gonorrhea, Clamidya, or possibley something else?

I just got back together with my ex and I know she was sleeping with someone before we got together. We had sex and about a week later I started to have a yellowish discharge from my penis, redish penis head, pain in my testicles and my body constantly felt warm. I immediatley saw my doctor who didn't really look like he knew what he was doing. He took a culture sample from the tip of my penis(burnt like hell). He prescirbed me 4 pills of Zithromax, 250mg each to take in 1 dose. Also, a shot of pennicillin in my right buttox. After about 2 hours of taking the Zithromax, I had the most severe diarrhea of my life. Its been 5 days now, and I have to use the bathroom #2 about 3-4 times a day with a slightly loose stool. I have to urinate more frequently than normal, although this has gone down. I have no more discharge so far, but all my other symptoms still exist. Why am i still experiencing diarrhea? Is it possible that the treatments he gave me did not work? Could it be that I don't have Gonorrhea or Clamidya? Please help, I cannot afford to keep going back to the doctors!

One of the prime side effects of Zithromax is diarrhea.  It's unusual for it to be as bad as you have it, but certainly it does happen.  And are you sure you're not allergic to penicillin?  I assume you're not because you might have had an even worse reaction if you were.  That was not really a great antibiotic to use in this case unfortunately.

It is possible you had another type of bacteria, but Zithromax would cure that in most cases as well.

Make sure you're drinking enough fluids, don't let yourself be dehydrated.  Since your  symptoms seem to be resolving, I'd probably sit tight and see where you are in the next few days.  It can take a while for the burning and pain to go away.

Did your ex get treated as well?  She should have.

I'm not allergic to anything that I know of. I forgot to mention that I also have a tingling sensation on the tip of my penis from time to time. I wil just sit tight and see what happens...

Update: Its been days since my post. I have swollen lymph nodes in my neck right now. Diarrhea is gone, but I still have a strange tingling feeling in the tip of my penis every so often.

My blood and penis culture samples all came back negative... Does this mean I for sure don't have anything?
