Gonorrhea Negative For ME, but not him....

My boyfriend came to me and said he tested positive for gonorrhea. I went and got checked out and my test came back negative. What I have read online says that sympotms in men show 1-14 days after infection. But I have never had the STD. So does that mean that he cheated on me? Or can it be dorment in men and appear later?

Well, regardless, I'd ask for treatment.  How many months are we talking about?  I'd have to wonder if he cheated - most men who get symptoms get them within a few weeks of being infected.

He said he noticed symptoms and went to planned parenthood  They did STD testing and found out he was positive for gonorrhea. He got a shot. Before then we never used protection. When he tested positive, I got tested and the doc said I was clean.  Its wierd that I never got it. And he says I am the only one he has been with for months.

tough question to answer.
Have you ever had unprotected sex with him? If you have then chances are you would have it. He could have had a false positive (but that is rare). It is never dormit, once you have it you have it but in about 10% or so of men symptoms don't show in men.

What made him test? I think you need to sit down and talk with him because he could have cheated. You can only get honorrhea through sex. But I am sure they have started him on treatment so you will not know if he really has it or just had a false positive.
