Gonorrhea and Chlamydia

Hello Doctor,

I have been diagnosed with the gonorrhea about a week ago, It was a very less discharge from penis with irritation, There was no such irritation while urination. so my doctor gave me a 500 mg ceftriaxone for once and followed by 400 mg ciprofloxacin for 2 days. it's the fourth day of my treatment and i still having slight symptoms irritation and very less discharge from penis. But this time discharge is thin liquidly type. Also i feel like some drop is coming out of penis for a while in like 3-4 hours and when i look up there's nothing on my penis. Also when i open the head of my penis it seems like wet inside. Do you think it could be chlamydia as well? i have asked my doctor about Chlamydia and he said i have to wait for 3-4 days now and if i still have symptoms even after 3-4 days then he will treat me with the azithromycin. Do you think he is doing the right thing? Also i have heard the recommended treatment for gonorrhea is now dual medicine treatment in which (Ceftriaxone 250 mg IM + Azithromycin 1g in a single dose) should be given. Should i talk to my doctor about this recommended treatment?

My gonorrhoea culture report have just came and it says negative, Just to confirm i took this test after 50 hours of treatment started and it was mornings first urine sample. so my questions are.

1. Can gonorrhea culture test come negative while you are taking antibiotics? if yes is this because my antibiotics are working correctly and they haven't let bacteria to be grow in culture test? or it's something else?

2. Should i take swab testing this time? or urine culture is ok?

I see no reason for retesting, but if you want 3-4 weeks after medication is finished.

About 8 hours before i felt a very small drop of sticky discharge from my penis. But now i am feeling totally fine no itching burning or passing of any type of thing from my penis. Do you think i should take test again? and when i should take test again? The reason i am asking allot question and let you know my condition so you and other with gonorrhea diseases can follow up the whole situation.

It can take up to 2 weeks for all symptoms to go away. Can't say what the liquid is.

Testing while on medication can flaw the test.

One more thing i want to mention here, That i took Chlamydia trachomatis and gonorrhea culture test, While taking the medication (Morning first urine sample). My chlamydia test came with result 'chlamydia trachomatis antigen is not detected' dose that mean i don't have chlamydia at all? Also i am waiting for my gonorrhea culture test report to come. it will come with in two months, Also do you think testing for chlamydia and gonorrhea while taking medication was a good idea or not?
