Gonorrhea mystery

My boyfriend and I were together for about 2 years when I found out I had gonorrhea. He and I were both tested and my results turned out positive for gonorrhea and his results were completely negative. The mystery lies in the fact that just before we started dating, I was tested and my results came back clear; no stds. So entering our relationship I was uninfected, but 2 years in I ended up with gonorrhea while he had nothing. And I know his results came back negative because I was there to hear them.
He has cheated on me twice in the past with 2 girls, also before we were both tested. And so i am very confused as to how I could end up with gonorhhea if he did not give it to me? We have both taken the anitibiotics just to be safe and I have been gonorhhea free but would like to know how this could possibly have happened.

at this point no way to know if your test was a false positive or not since you treated.  were you having symptoms or was this picked up on a routine pap test?

do you trust that he's not lying to you and was treated for gonorrhea?
