HELP ME!

Ok... i went to the doctors and my test results came out postive for gonorrhea. My doctor told me to NOT have sex for about 2-4 weeks. Is this true? How long should i wait to have sexual intercourse? I wanna be safe PLEASES HELP DOC!

Most places recommend 1 week with no sex, but I always defer to Dr recommendation.
