HIV Window Period

by cooldeepagar, Oct 16, 2008 11:12PM
I got tested for HIV 1& 2 on 14th Oct 2008 after i have sex with a girl in Turkey on 18th March 2008. The Test came negative and i also get western blot test after 6 weeks of possible exposure and that was negative too. I just want to whether I have to go for further testing or not. And whats the window period for a person to developed antibodies to HIV. Should i go for PCR test just to be extra sure.Plz respond.

You do not need further testing.  There is a 3 month window for HIV, so your tests are conclusive.

Any further questions should be posted in the HIV prevention forum.
