Hello, I took a test for HIV along with std's today, when my doctor gave me my paper to take to the lab, I took a look and it didn't have syphilis on the paper, it had other std names on it, does syphilis have another medical name for it for testing. How does syphilis get tested? Can someone please help. Thank You.

The lab test for syphilis is either RPR or VDRL.  Its a blood test.
