HIV

Good Morning, Dr. Hansfield,

I have a question relating to HIV.

I scraped my leg on a cinder block before I went into a massage establishment.

I didn't think much of it, as it didn't really hurt that much.

I got the massage and realized the next day that I must have scrapped it pretty badly because there was a huge scab.

So I am thinking it must have been bleeding during the entire massage!

If the woman that performed the massage had bodily fluids (blood, sperm, vaginal fluid from going to the bathroom) on her hands 10 minutes before touching the bleeding scrape, could I be infected with HIV?  Can I infect anyone else?

Zero risk.  Nobody ever got HIV through such a ridiculously improbable transmission route. Zero chance, that is nada, zilch, nichevo.  Do not get tested, you cannot infect anybody esle, put it out of your mind.

What about for HVB or HVC?

No such transmission has ever been documented, and the biological plausibility is low for all the viruses you mention.  If you were my son, brother, or closest buddy, I would recommend against testing of any kind.

What makes you think she massaged your "bloody wound" anyway?
If it looked raw, no doubt she avoided it.
And she probably didn't have body fluids from a previous john on her hands.
Never been to one, but that's my guess.

I know she rubbed the area, because there was baby oil there.  Additionally, it was dark in the room, and I did feel some pain when she rubbed it, but I thought it was just a scratch.

But if Dr. HHH, says there was NADA ZILCH RISK for HIV and although there was a slight risk for HVB and HVC and not to test, then I WILL NOT TEST.  I will believe in Dr. HHH and not worry about infecting my wife with HIV, HVB or HVC.
