HORRIBLE MISTAKE PLEASE ADVISE

I was vacationing in Mexico with some buddies a week ago. I drank way too much (may actually even have been spiked). Anyway I ended up being seduced by a woman, and when we were about to have sex, she asked for money, turning out to be a prostitute. In my state of mind, I could not refuse and the following happened.

Oral sex around the tip of my penis for maybe 10-15 seconds (I think, maybe longer).
Oral sex with a condom (hers) for a couple of minutes.
Vaginal sex with a condom for a couple of minutes, maybe longer. (I could not get an erection).
Hand job until erection.
Immediately proceeding I washed my penis vigrously with soap, even putting soap inside my Urethra. I did the same thing the next day, putting soap inside my Urethra.

Luckily she insisted that we use condoms, and claimed that she was clean. I have no idea about her background, she came from the street, and was not in a reputable bar or anything like that.

Anyway, the next day my Urethra was really sore, and hurt to touch against my underwear, probably because of the soap. This has persisted, although somewhat gotten better for the last week. However, the area around my Urethra opening is still somewhat red, and occasionally is still sore. No discharge yet, and urinating does not hurt worse than the persistent soreness.

I know it has only been a week, however if the irritation was caused by the soap or something else, wouldn't it have gone away by now? And as such, should I go in to the doctor's to get antibiotics?

THANKS

You asked if anyone had heard of anyone getting it this way, and I said no, I hadn't heard of it.

In all my years of working in this field - about 13 now - I have personally tested one man who came back HIV+ from having sex with an HIV+ woman.  There was suspicion about injection drug use, but they denied it.

I have tested maybe 10 or 15 men who have had sex with women with known HIV infections - a couple of them had been with their  female partners for more than 4 years when their partners were diagnosed - and none of the men were positive.  They were all having unprotected sex.

Yes, heterosexual transmission can happen from female to male, but its rare, and you used condoms.  You do not have HIV.

So honestly, has anybody ever heard of someone getting infected with HIV in this manner?? I'm pretty calm about the whole thing, I have no symptoms of anything, and I will get syph/HIV/herpes test at 12 weeks. However every week or so something will remind me of the incident and I will start having dry heaves and **** like that. I know that if I tested positive for HIV I would commit suicide, and that looming over my head is a pretty fierce thing to have :(

9 days is fine to test, and your results are accurate.

The swollen taste buds aren't syphilis, and they might be apthous sores (canker sores) or something called geographic tongue.

And with no symptoms, you don't need to worry about NGU.

Hang in there, ok?

Oh, I got tested for the bacterias at 9 days, is that inconclusive?

Well I tested negative for Gon and Chylm, which is good. However they didn't test for non Chyl NGU. Still no discharge, no irritation during peeing, and the redness is decreasing, so far so good. However, I seem to have a lot of bacteria on my tongue, and the V shaped taste buds in the back are all swollen. Maybe nothing, maybe syph?

Thanks Aj, you do a great service to this forum. I'll let you know when I test neg for HIV, syph, and herpes, hopefully.

OK I have a few different questions to answer.

PLEASE do not ever take medication for things you haven't tested positive for, and certainly don't take them BEFORE you test.

Taking antibiotics for things you haven't been diagnosed for causes resistance to antibiotics later.  If you take antibiotics before you test, it can screw up the test results.

WTF - please don't take meds yet, or order them online.  (Ordering online is scary because you can't guarantee that what you are getting is really what you want.)  Just go back to the doctor.

Yes, you can get a syph/herpes/HIV test at 6 weeks.  The herpes and HIV tests might not be 100% accurate, but most people with herpes and HIV will test positive by then.

I am deleting Roldan's post as he has his own thread going, and it doesn't need to be in this one.

And please, try and relax.  If you do have something, it will all be ok, I promise.

Please read above 2 comments as well!! I'm curious, suppose that I test pos for NGU, does that inherently mean I'm more likely to contract HIV, and less importantly herpes?

So if syph is at 6 weeks, can I do syph/herpes/HIV at 6 weeks?

Yeah I'm pretty sure I have NGU though, just had clear, somewhat sticky discharge for the first time today. I will probably go back to the doctor's tommorow to demand antibiotics now. Can't let this **** grow anymore!

No, you should do syphilis at 6 weeks.

But syphilis is rare, and you really are at low risk for everything.  I hope you are hearing that message as well.

How long do I need to wait before I can get tested for syphillis? My plan was to do Gon/Chylm at 9 days, Syph at 2 weeks, and herpes/HIV at 3 months. Can I do syph at week 2?

Would you be this freaked out about strep throat?  That means there is bacteria growing in your throat?  Don't get too freaked because its your penis, or because you might have an std.  It really is just another infection, ok?

Also I have to wait another week for the results to come back. This problem really doesn't hurt or anything like that, however the thought of bacteria growing in my penis is not a good one to have... can't believe I used a pro, ******* alcohol is ****.

I just today did a urine sample for Gon/Chlym. The only problem is that they are going a PCR test, so other bacteria will not be cultured. The doctor did not seem overly concerned with the amount of redness around my urethra, however I'm pretty sure I have NGU of some sort, as this has never happened before. As such, once the test results come back, even if they are negative, I'm going to request antibiotics.

Your chances of anything, including herpes, is very low.

Relax and just see your doctor already.

I just noticed a vague pronoun in my previous post and want to clarify it.
In my statement, "Better not to use them obviously :-)."  I was referring to sex workers.  I just don't want people to think I was saying better not to use condoms, because that would be a stupid thing to say..

Hey bud, noticed you visited my thread and I figured I would stop by and offer you some support..

I got NGU from a pro after unprotected oral about 10 years ago, which is why I had a condom on when the sex worker entered the room this time.  Better not to use them obviously :-).. . Putting soap in your urethra intentionally could make you really sore for a long time.  As a teenager I once soap as a lubricant to rub one out and was sore in my urethra for three or four days afterwards - and in that case I hadn't put the soap directly inside.

From what I have gathered is you can get Gonorrhea from unprotected oral, it can live in the throat, but you have no discharge.  NGU can be caused by Chlamydia but isn't transferred orally, it can't live in the throat.  But NGU can be caused by other bacteria and viruses that do live in the throat.

I believe the soap irritation (the thought of putting soap in makes me wince) could still be irritating you but if it persists you may have NGU.

Like Auntijessi said, if conditions persist get checked out.  I paid a total of $20 to visit the STD clinic in the big city nearby, and even got the medicine on the second treatment for that.  Do a search for clinics in your area.  For me it was a lot easier going to the clinic than the thought of telling a nurse and then my regular doctor that I had visited a pro and being scolded.  At the clinic on the other hand I felt very comfortable and both the nurse and nurse practitioner gave me words of encouragement for my condom use.

Good luck to you
