HOW DO I TAKE CHLAMDYIA MEDICINE
My doctor told me to take Azithromycin single dose powder with water (chlamdyia medicine) I think the taste of the medicine with be awful with water. Does anybody know if it will still work with a Gatorade or Jucie???
The single dose for chlamydia is 1 gram (1000 mg), so you would take 2 pills at the same time.
I'm sorry for bothering you again but I bought the generic pill online it just came in Zithromax 500g how many will I take a day for how many days please help??

Ok and does it matter how long I take to drink it lets say 30 min or do I need to drink it all at once
As far as I know, there have been no studies mixing azithromycin with juice, soft drinks, etc. But it's not too bad with water. It's bitter all right, but it's fruit flavored, sort of like taking it Kool-Aid. Using gatorade etc probably wouldn't taste any better. Just mix it well, swallow it fast, then have another couple swallows of water. In the STD clinic where I used to work, we treated patients this way all the time and it wasn't a problem.
But if you think you can't hack it, speak with the doctor or the pharmacy and request pills instead. Both pills and powder are equally effective against chlamydia.
