HPV/Molluscum question

I have a strange slew of questions. I have had an STD free girl friend for about a year now and it is a monogamous relationship, of that I am sure of. About 4 months ago I showed symptoms of Molluscum contagiosum, it was on my inner thigh and eventually spread and I had a couple molluscum soars on the shaft of my penis. At the same time I had this outbreak of Molluscum, two small warts appeared on my waistline bellow my navel. I went to the doctor, and they froze the molluscum and the warts. the warts dissapeared, but the molluscum is still present on my thigh. I recently trimmed my pubic hair and noticed three very small bumps right at the beginning of my pubic hair bellow my navel again. At this point I cannot tell if they are warts or molluscum, but I am leaning more towards small warts. My doctor told my that molluscum could be spread to the genital regions in other ways than sexual contact, such as a shared towel with someone who has it, and she also said that the warts were not genital warts and were just warts on my waist line. WIth these three new bumps I am curious if I could just have happened to have warts in my pubic hair region by chance or if they are in fact genital warts. I do not think this is possible because of the my monogamous relationship. Please let me know what you think is going on with my body. I am nervous and scared and simply have no idea why my body is freaking out like this even though I have been as responsible as I can be with it, sexually.

On the groin area, yes.  Waistline, probably not.

The average clearing time for everyone, regardless of gender, is about 8 months, but 90% will clear it in 2 years.

is it possible to get genital warts, as a male, on the waistline, or groin? I thought it was only on the tip of the penis, shaft, and scrotum. Do you think maybe because my body is trying to defend against molluscum it's guard is down and these warts are showing because of it? I guess I will just go to the doctor and try to get a biopsy to figure out what is going on. If it is Genital warts, about how long on average in men does it take to rid itself of the virus?

I can't really answer that for you.  Its possible that the HPV is genital, and that you are just now getting symptoms - it can be years from infection to symptoms - or that it isn't, and you just happen to be getting them in strange places.

The only way to know is to get a biopsy of one and have it tested for the strain.  Most doctors won't do that, because it doesn't make much difference medically, but you might ask yours.

I get plantars warts (warts on the bottom of your feet), and they removed a couple by cutting them out.  It wasn't 2 weeks later and I started getting more just next to where I had the others removed.  I was not pleased lol, and my doctor said sometimes you get more as you treat them.   I haven't heard that with other kinds of warts, especially genital ones, but its a theory.

It could also be that your body is just trying to deal with molluscum and warts at the same time, and isn't dealing with it all that well.  Just give it some time, but don't hesitate to go and get the new stuff treated.
