HPV after a Hysterectomy

I have one HPV wart. I had a hysterectomy in 1998.  My doctor said I didnt' need any more pap smears since 1998.  Non cancerous.  Now that I have this HPV should the GYN start giving me pap smears?

I posed this question to ashastd.org for my friend has complete hysterectomy and found out that her now x-boyfriend had a boyfriend and a male and a female dominatrix!yeegads..i live on another planet with this stuff..mind boggling!I was told that HPV loves to live in moist places and will live in the vaginal walls of total hyst and it would take longer to show up on pap test.Heed what Mayflowers advises and continue the paps!

You should continue your paps regardless of the hysterectomy.
