HPV and MS

by johnny218, Dec 13, 2008 07:54PM
I have had several outbreaks of Gential Warts which have come and go(healed with scab forming and then subseuqently disppeared) over the last 2 years. Should i get treatment for this if they come back, and if so what options are there?

Also I have just been diagnosed with MS - how does this affect treatment etc?

Appreciated any help or thoughts you have

Your warts are scabbing?  That doesn't sound like warts to me.  That sounds more like herpes.  Unless they have been treated, warts don't scab.

MS itself shouldn't affect warts or herpes, for that matter, but some of the treatment you are on might, if it weakens your immune system.

To find out for sure what you have, you can ask for a spot to be biopsied, and ask for a type specific IgG herpes blood test.
