HPV?

by babygirl930, Feb 07, 2009 08:23PM
I went to the Gyno for a yeast infection and she did my pap at the sametime. She called me about a week later to tell me that my pap was normal but i have high risk hpv and to come back in 6 months for a re check. My question is could the hpv test come out wrong due to the yeast infection?I have never had an abnormal pap before.
Thank you.

No, a yeast infection would not cause the hpv test to come back as +.

We have a hpv forum here on medhelp where you would probably benefit from posting in for more info on high risk hpv, treating and follow up and just all around general support while waiting for your repeat testing :)
