I just tested positive for Herpes 1 & 2. My results are as follows:
HSV-1 aB IgG 3.9 H <0.90 POSITIVE
HSV-2 aB IgG 2.3 H <0.90 POSITIVE
This may sound like a dumb question, but how accurate (or strongly positive) are these results? I've only had one partner since my last (negative HSV2) test 2 years ago. He says he has never tested positive for herpes. I've pretty much lost all hope after this positve test...
Your partner needs to get himself a type specific herpes igg blood test now to see what his status is now. If he's hsv2 negative since you have a history of past negative hsv2 results then you need to pursue additional testing to confirm your low positive hsv2 result. Results under 3.5 for hsv2 have a chance of being a false positive.
It's easier if you start your own thread in the future trakaz :)
Your results look like they aren't really just for hsv1 ( unless you mistyped them and they are actually 5.72 - please check your results ). If you really had a 57.2 result then you probably didn't have a type specific igg blood test for hsv1 and hsv2 and really had a combined test which was a waste of time and money.
