I have noticed a small hard bump (maybe half the size of a bb)on the lower left part of my scrotum. I had what I feel was safe (condom but some genital to genital rubbing first)sex with a female 35 days ago. This bump feels to be under but near the skin, not atached to testicle, has no pain, is firm, and has not changed since I noticed it 4 days ago. I'm not sure it has not been there for years as I have been examining myself extreemly close due to anxiety. I have no visable changes on the penis.
Questions. 1. If it were herpes would there be only one with no clusters and no bilstering effect? 2. If I noticed it 4 days ago how long would it normally take to blister and open if it were herpes? 3. Based on these symtoms should I be tested for herpes? 4. Or am I most likely freaking out due to anxiety?
Thanks for your response and great work on this site!
No STD causes a bump like you describe. Possibilities include a benign tumor, such as a fibroma; a dermal cyst or other deep skin problem; and others. Almost certainly this is nothing serious, but see a health care provider for accurate assessment if it persists and you remain concerned. (Do it right away if the bump is enlarging, becomes painful, etc.)
Questions 1-3: from your description, it definitely isn
Follow up. The bump has somewhat become like a pimple and had a very small amount of white discharge upon pinching. No blistering, no scabbing over, and it now appears to be getting smaller. Any additional thoughts?
