Has anyone ever had sex while taking Flagyl for BV

My doctor diagnosed me as having BV and prescribed Flagyl. I was advised to take the pills for 7 days (I am on my 4th) and not to have sex.

I am just curious to know if the BV will not clear up if you have protected sex?

Your skin is likely irritated, even if you can't feel it, and having sex can make that worse.

BV is caused by an imbalance in the ph levels, and sex can disturb that even more, even with a condom.
